Why use a family locator
The question "are you there yet?" usually turns into a string of unanswered calls and messages. With OlhaZ, everyone in the circle shows up on the map with their phone battery and the time of the last update, and you get an automatic alert when someone arrives at or leaves an important place.
It is not a hidden app: each person installs the app, joins the circle by invitation, sees who follows them and can pause sharing whenever they want. It is agreed care, not surveillance.

Live family map
Everyone on the same map, with photo, battery and "updated ago". When still, the app saves battery; when moving, it uses GPS to follow the route.
Arrival and departure alerts
Add Home, School and Work and get an alert when someone arrives or leaves. The app also learns frequent places on its own.
SOS and crash detection
SOS button with a countdown and, in the car, detection of a hard crash that alerts the circle if the person does not respond.

Send a link with your position and estimated arrival. The recipient follows it in the browser, without installing anything.

Privacy first
Location is only shared with the people in your circle. Each person turns on their own sharing, can pause it and leave the circle whenever they want. History is deleted automatically at the end of the plan period, as required by the LGPD.

Frequently asked questions
Is the family locator free?
Yes. The free plan has live map, SOS, crash detection, arrival alerts, chat and driving report, in 1 circle with up to 4 people, 3 places and today's history. Premium unlocks up to 20 people, unlimited places, 30 days of history and more circles.
Does it work on iPhone and Android at the same time?
Yes. Each person uses whatever phone they have; everyone shows up on the same map. You can also follow along in a computer browser.
Does the person know they are being located?
Yes. To show up on the map, the person installs the app, accepts the invitation and turns on sharing. They see who is in the circle and can pause whenever they want.
Does it drain the battery?
No. When moving the app uses GPS; when still, it uses the phone's low-power location and only sends an "I'm here" from time to time.
What if the phone has no internet?
Positions are stored on the phone and sent when the internet comes back. The map shows how long ago the last update was.
